Software engineering for security and defence.
From Belgium, we develop mission-critical software for security and defence with international ambitions. Our engineers work with your operators and technical teams on specialist applications, integrations and Meridian Platform extensions — from operational requirements to validation in your own environment.
Engineers alongside your operators.
Our forward-deployed engineering (FDE) approach brings software engineers directly into the customer’s working context, on site where the engagement requires it. We learn the workflows and constraints with your team, build a focused solution, test it with its users and stay involved through deployment and the agreed handover.
Focused software. Practical integrations.
Operational applications
Incident workflows, coordination tools and specialist dashboards for control rooms, analysts and field teams.
Data & system integration
APIs, read-only connectors, asset models and data validation. OT interfaces follow the operator’s approved security boundary.
Communications & geospatial tools
Integrate messaging, voice, video, maps and tracking where they support the agreed operational task.
AI analysis, video & deployment
Integrate case and document analysis, source-backed answers, radio transcription and AI video analytics on customer infrastructure. Models, data access, operator review and deployment are scoped with your technical team.
A platform we build, and expertise you can engage.
Meridian Platform is our main product. Our engineering work can extend it or address a separate, clearly scoped requirement. The screens below show our own work on operational data and analysis.

Project scope and assurance requirements determine the engagement. Specific integrations and security approvals are established with the customer; they are not implied by a demonstration.
Understand. Build together. Deploy.
Understand the operation
Work directly with operators and technical teams to map the workflow, data and constraints. Agree the problem, acceptance criteria, source-code ownership and deliverables.
Build with your team
Prototype against the agreed operational task, connect approved sources and review working software with users. Iterate from their feedback and test important failure cases.
Deploy and hand over
Validate the software in your environment, document it and support the agreed deployment and handover. Define ownership of support, updates and maintenance.
Software engineering, explained.
What does forward-deployed engineering mean at Meridian?
- Meridian’s forward-deployed engineering approach puts engineers alongside the customer’s operators and technical teams, on site where required. The work covers understanding the operational problem, building and testing a focused solution, and the agreed deployment and handover. The engagement can extend Meridian Platform or address a separate software requirement.
What software does Meridian develop for security and defence?
- Meridian develops operational applications, data integrations, communications workflows and geospatial tools for security and defence. AI work includes case and document analysis, source-backed answers, radio transcription and video analytics. Engineering engagements can extend Meridian Platform or Meridian AI, or deliver a separately scoped application or integration. Models, data access and deployment are agreed for the project.
Can Meridian connect our existing systems?
- Meridian scopes APIs, read-only connectors, asset models and data validation with the customer. Existing systems remain authoritative. OT connections must use the operator’s approved security boundary, such as its DMZ or data diode; an integration is not assumed available until it has been engineered and accepted.
Who owns the source code and maintains the software?
- Source-code ownership, licences, deliverables, documentation and maintenance responsibilities are agreed in the project scope. Meridian defines acceptance criteria and the deployment handover with the customer. Support and updates depend on the agreed engagement; they are not implied by a demonstration.
